Our story
Vail Ranch has been part of Temecula since 1867. What started as a cattle operation run by Arizona rancher Walter Vail grew into one of the largest ranches in California. 87,500 acres. It stretched from the mountains to the coast. The land shaped this valley, and the valley shaped the people who called it home.
Walter Vail was the kind of person places get named after. And around here, one very important baby goat gets named after too.
Vail Headquarters spent decades quietly waiting. Then Arteco Partners came in with a plan to restore it. Not as a museum. A living destination. Today, Vail HQ is home to restaurants, shops, community events, and an energy that feels like Temecula at its best.
Vail Kids Ranch is the newest chapter. We built it for the next generation of mini ranchers. For the kids growing up here, the families driving in for the weekend, and the parents who just want one morning where everyone is happy and no one is looking at a screen. The animals are real. The history underneath your feet goes back 150 years.
And Walty, our baby goat mascot named in honor of the man who built this land, has been here the whole time, waiting to meet you.
Arteco Partners
Vail Kids Ranch is a project of Arteco Partners, the team behind Vail Headquarters and several of the most beloved community destinations in the Temecula Valley. We believe in building places that matter. Spaces rooted in where they are and built to last.
