Official ranch greeter
The goat. The legend. The reason half our guests come back.
About Walty
Walty is a baby goat with a big personality and an even bigger appetite for apple slices. He lives at Vail Kids Ranch full time and takes his job as official greeter very seriously.
He is named after Walter Vail, the cattle baron who built this land into one of the largest ranches in California starting in 1867. Walter had 87,500 acres. Walty has one pen and a butterfly that follows him around. Both left a mark on Temecula.
Walty loves meeting new people, being photographed from every angle, and sneaking up behind visitors who are not paying attention. He has never met a carrot he did not like.
